My final goal is to be an English teacher in a middle school especially in Seoul. So after ten years I hope to teach middle school students, when I am 31 years old. To accomplish this goal, I have a few specific plans every year.
First, in this year my plan is to adjust at my new major which is English Education. Also get good grades on my major subjects. I will study hard to get a scholarship which is my final goal for this year. I will do my assignments with my best and prepare for exams thoroughly. In July, I will apply for an exchange student to go to American university. I think having experiences by studying in America will help me a lot when I actually teach my students in the future.
When I am a third grade, I will be gone to America for an exchange student. In there, I will study hard but my goal is to learn and have various experiences about America’s cultures. There are so many different races of people, so I will make many friends who are from different countries. Then I will learn each culture’s characteristics through getting along with them. I will study as an exchange student for six months. Then when I come back, I will get along well with the Korean curriculum again and get good scores. I will apply new experiences that I had in America to Korean learning so that I can have effective studying and creative learning.
In the senior year, I will do the teaching practice in a middle school that is around my hometown. I will practice and have real teaching experiences by being a student teacher. At the same time, I will prepare for the teacher certification exam. This year is to wrap up all the learning that I had for four years and prepare to graduate. Even though this year will be too busy to do all different things at the same time but I will do all of them with my best and with passion.
After graduation, I will study for the teacher certification exam and will try having the examination. Even though there are many possibilities that I would not get the certificate at once, I will try my best to get it at once. If I fail, I will try again in the next year. When I get through the examination, I will be an English teacher in Seoul.
In the school, I will teach my students with my passion and endeavors so that students can learn a lot from me. I will be a teacher who is in charge of a class which is one of my dreams. I always wanted my own class to take care of. Even though I know that is really hard, tiring and stressful, I think I can feel the love from my students and their preciousness.
If my plan happens exactly as I planned, I will be one of the happiest people in the world because my plan is the ideal future that I dreamed of. I will try my best to make my dreams come true with self-confidence and passion.
