* 1형식 : 주어 + 동사 + (전치사구, 부사) < S + V 1 >

꼭 기억해야 할 1형식 동사들 : live, exist, sit / go, come, arrive, rise / happen, occur, take place /

숙어형 동사들(ex. belong to)

∙Vegetable price rose (rise) sharply.

∙Stereotypes come from lack of knowledge on a person or an object.

* 2형식 : 주어 + 동사 + 보어 < S + V 2 + C >

꼭 기억해야 할 2형식 동사들 : be, become / appear, seem, remain, feel, sound, smell, taste

∙My career is important.

∙Childhood is the most important period in a person’s life.

∙This apple doesn’t taste very good.

* 3형식 : 주어 + 동사 + 목적어 < S + V 3 + O >

꼭 기억해야 할 3형식 동사들 : like, have, need, provide, inform …

∙Children like to imitate violent scenes in movies.

∙The Pacific Ocean has many valleys and canyons in it.

* 4형식 : 주어 + 동사 + (간접)목적어 + (직접)목적어 < S + V 4 + O + O >

문장 만들기

1. 이 공원에서는 한 달에 한번 야외 콘서트가 열린다. (take place)

2. 좋은 부모가 되기 위해 필요한 많은 자질들이 있다. (there is/there are)

3. 사람들이 인터넷에 관심을 갖게 되었다. (become)

4. 그는 많은 사람들과 함께 있으면 불편하게 느낀다. (feel uncomfortable)

5. 낚시는 많은 인내심을 요구한다.(require)

6. 균형 잡힌 식사는 사람들에게 건강에 필요한 영양소들을 제공한다. (provide)
